MUSIC

Headphones

The founders of Reform Judaism were the first to introduce instrumental music during Sabbath services via the organ and choirs - organ and choirs were popular in Christian worship services in the mid-1800s when Reform Judaism was born. Jewish composers wrote soaring choral pieces, accentuating the acoustics of Reform temples. Many of these pieces can still be heard today, along with beautiful compositions written by modern Jewish composers whose music is influenced and inspired by contemporary genres and artists. Roots of Reform Judaism welcomes and celebrates both styles. Through these curated playlists, enjoy and experience the popular classic and contemporary sounds that connect us to our souls in ways that words alone cannot.
